Gristle Crüe Call — Open AI Explainer

Liam Brennan walked us through a mind-blowing presentation on the potential in the OpenAI project. From what we write to how we submit queries to how a human can interact with the rapidly growing digital mind, this was an incredibly eye-opening call and a hell of a way to kick off 2023.

What is the history of rule 34?

Rule 34 is an internet meme that states, “If it exists, there is porn of it. No exceptions.” The exact origin of the phrase is unclear; however, it is thought to have originated from a 2003 webcomic titled “Rules of the Internet”, which is a list of protocols and conventions which supposedly apply to those who use the Internet. The list was written by Peter Morley-Souter to satirize extreme attitudes towards protecting copyright on the Internet. The 34th item on the list reads “If it exists, there is a porn of it. No exceptions”. Since then, the phrase has become an accepted part of Internet culture and is used to refer to the prevalence of pornographic content on the Internet.
